Is it fair what your Camp pays?

Ontario is unfortunately exempt from requiring camps (including for-profit and not-for-profit day camps and sleepover camps) to pay camp counsellors who are students any minimum wage. That doesn't make it fair. 

We'd like to change that.

As soon as we have data from a few camps, we will start sharing it. You can then compare how much you are paid with others doing the same work at different camps and use that data to negotiate with your camp.

We believe that being a Camp Counsellor is hard, important work and staff should be fairly paid. We'll be pursuing advocacy and lobbying with the government to make changes.
